The guardian of Jared Martin, an individual with an intellectual disability, Autism, and Cerebral Palsy, contacted Disability Rights Florida about a denial for an increased level of Residential Habilitation services through the iBudget Waiver. The additional Residential Habilitation services were medically necessary to allow Jared to safely remain in his current group home and support additional community activities that would be provided by Jared’s group home. It was important to Jared to stay in his current group home as he was located close to his family and friends. Disability Rights Florida represented Jared at his appeal hearing and received a favorable Final Order granting the increased level of Residential Habilitation services.
